NLA LAW STUDENT NEWS Ave Maria Law School Student Chapter: |

The NLA student group at Ave Maria
is currently making plans for the upcoming school year. Last
year, the group sought to increase its visibility and reach on
campus, which it accomplished with new activities such as a
professional etiquette dinner and hosting the first annual
Halloween Pumpkin Carving Contest. This year, the group is
planning on making an aggressive push to increase membership
early in the year for the student group, and also at the end of
the year to steer new graduates toward the national
organization. We are also looking for a unique and vibrant
speaker to come to campus on behalf of the group, and want to
organize a student/lawyer networking evening in or around Ann
Arbor.
For the upcoming school year, 3L
Stephen Feher will again serve as student organization
President, and 3L Therese Beaulieu will again serve as
Vice-President. 2L Michael Santschi will serve as the group's
Secretary/Treasurer. Professor Patrick Gillen will begin his
first full year as the student organization's Faculty Advisor.
We like to congratulate Stephen
Feher, who was honored for his work with the Ave Maria NLA
student organization by being named the 2008 Member of the Year
at the national NLA symposium in Colorado Springs in July.

Bio: Stephen is a rising 3L at the Ave Maria School of Law in Ann Arbor, Michigan. He graduated from The Catholic University of America with a Bachelor of Civil Engineering in 2001, and worked in construction management for five years before returning to school. He plans on pursuing a career in intellectual property law. |

Therese Beaulieu,
Vice President
Bio: Therese Beaulieu is a 3L at Ave Maria School of Law in Ann Arbor, MI. She graduated from Saint Mary's College in Notre Dame, Indiana with a Bachelor's degree in Music, Political Science, and Philosophy in 2006. She plans on eventually working for the Government. |
