Professor William Harvey,
of Indiana University School of Law at Indianapolis, Indiana and trustee for National Lawyers Association, was awarded the highest award given by the Governor for the State of Indiana in September, 1996. The Award, "Member of the Sagamores of the Wabash", was presented to Professor Harvey by Governor Evan Bayh. This is the first time the award has been awarded to a member of the University of Indiana teaching staff. (The prestigious award has been used to honor mentors and men of wisdom who are able to advise and guide the Governor if the situation is warranted. By history, a Sagamore was a wise man who advised a Wabash Chief in the early days of our country.)
Mario Mandina,
President of NLA, has been named one of eight Outstanding Lawyers for the Year by Lawyers Weekly, USA. Mandina, who is a founding member of the organization, is a solo practitioner in Kansas City, Missouri.
