NLA REVIEW

INTERNATIONAL LAW

WINTER 1996

The International Law Section, formed at the Annual Convention in Chicago, is currently composed of fourteen members, one of whom hails from France. The ILS's goal for 1996-97 is simply put: establish the Section as a viable network of international practitioners and neophytes sharing information amongst the membership of the Section and the NLA and promoting the principled practice of transnational law

The Section is actively participating in the establishment of the NLA's World Wide Web site through which ILS members may easily communicate, exchange research and forms, and even share client and international matter referrals with one another and with the NLA community. The Section also expects to contribute from time to time to the NLA Journal articles on topics in international law of general interest to the legal community. And the Section intends to liaise with the other sections of the NLA on publications and conferences on topics common to the members of those sections which additionally involve an international aspect.

NLA members interested in joining the ILS may contact the Section Chair, William A. "Biff" Pusey, Jr., for more information. He may be reached at Ten State Street, LLP, 10 State Street, Charleston, SC 29401, telephone (803) 937-0110, facsimile (803) 937-4310, or electronic mail tenstate@sc.net (the preferred form of communications).
