This can improve performance significantly and allow you to cruise the Internet at high speed. Unfortunately if this facility is not set up correctly you may not see updated web pages.
Both Netscape Navigator and Microsoft's Internet Explorer allow you to verify web pages to see if they have been updated since storing them in cache. I recommend that you verify documents at least once per session.
To set Netscape Navigator up to verify documents at least once per session do the following:

America Online's V3.0 for Windows browser does not have a setting to verify web pages at least once per session unlike Netscape Navigator and Microsoft's Internet Explorer. America Online recommends that you click the Reload. button, this will retrieve the specified web page URL (Uniform Resource Locator) from the web site instead of from your cache storage area.
You can also use the Reload button from both Netscape Navigator and Microsoft's Internet Explorer to retrieve web pages from the web site instead of from your cache
